ALLEGEGD THEFT
CASE DISMISSED. At the local police court on Saturday, before Messrs Perreau and D. W. Robertson, J.’sP., a man naded Graeme McDonald, appeared on remand, charged with the theft of a saddle and bridle on or about April 4th., the .property .of Frederick Carmont and valued at £5. The accusoed was represented by. Mr Oiigley and pleaded "not guilty. Evidence for the-prosecution was given by F, Carmont and Walter Blanche who stated that he saw the property in- the possession of accused. Constable Owen gave evidence as to the property, being found in accused’s possession by the Masterton police. - The accused did not give evidence and Mr Ongley addressed the Bench. The Justices retired to deliberate and later returned with a verdict of not guilty and the case was dismissed. ...... ..... BAILED OUT FOR 10/- AND FINED £l. John Hercock, arrested for drunkenness, and who was subsequently allowed out on bail for 10/-, appeared and pleade'd guilty and was fined 20/-.
