DONT’S FOR GIRLS
Don’t wear anything you can’t pay for. Don’t dress to outdo your neighbours. Don’t wear patched boots and a guinea hat. Don’t wear stylish dresses with untidy underclothing. Don’t go out with a button missing from glove or shoe. Don’t wear high heels if you wish to walk gracefully. Don’t use a pin where a pressbutton, hook-and-eye, or a stitch will do. Don’t dress like your brothers, and think men admire it. Don’t buy cheap finery-—i! is extravagant in the long run. Don’t forget that shabby gloves and shoes spoil the handsomest toilet. Don't dress in such an extreme fashion as to be “the observed of all observers.” Don’t render yourself personally uncomfortable for the sake of outward effect. Don’t affect carelessness in dress. No woman (or man either ) can afford to neglect appearances. Don’t buy cheap trimmings for good material, or the effect of your new dress will be spoiled.
