TWO YEARS DETENTION.
FOR FALSIFYING OF ACCOUNTS Auckland, Decern. 10. Alexander Robertson, aged 37, an accountant, was sentenced to two years’ reformative detention to-day on cliai'ges of fraudulent conversion, falsification of accounts and bigamy. It was stated that the accused came to Auckland from New Plymouth, went on a drinking bout, and was arrested for obtaining £lO by false entries. On the afternoon of the day when lie was allowed out on bail, lie went through a form of marriage with a young girl. The prisoner’s wife had written to say that she would take him back and forgive him.
