GAOL FOR SHOPLIFTERS.
Christchurch. Last Night. In the. Magistrate’s Court to-day, MrWyvern Williams, S.M., sentenced three women: Vera Heenling, (36), Isabel Nixon (42), and Edna Lindsay (52) each to one month’s imprisonment for shoplifting in the D.I.C. and Ballantyne’s. Nixon had a, previous conviction against for shoplifting. The husbands of two of the women are in good financial positions, iv:
