FROZEN MEAT MARKET.
Messrs Levin ami Co. Ltd. have received the following cable from llieir London agents, dated the 14th November, 1024: — “Frozen meat quotations (prices on a ‘delivered’ basis, i.e. including storage charges, cartage, tolls, etc.) —Down lambs, 28/42’s, none offering; best North Island do., 13d; ordinary do., 12 ,?d; second quality lambs 121 d; best North Island wether sheep, 48/64’s, Od; do., 04/ i 2 s Sid; ordinary do., 48/64’s S:Jd; Noith Island ewes, 48/64’s, 7Jd; do., 64/72’s, 03d; N.Z. prime ox beef 160./220’s, 4gd. The. above quotations are more or less nominal, but as compared with last week’s advices, best North Island lambs and North Island ewes arc Id per lb. dearer, second quality lambs, best North Island wether, ordinary Noith Island wether and North Island ewes are ftd per lb. dearer, and ordinary North Island lambs are 2d per lb. dearer.”
