ENTERTAINMENTS.
— ROYAL PICTURES. A iiapper extraordinary is the heroine of “Her Night of Nights,” (he Universal comedy drama starring Marie Provost at the Royal Theatre to-morrow night. She is a product of the city, and her social activities have an alarming tempo, but she is still human enough to fall in love with a “country fellow” who isn’t at all her type. The story is centred around New York City, its cafes and notorious night life, its exclusive fashion shops atong Fifth Avenue, its more or less unregulated clubs and its quiet suburban atmosphere miles out, where one may buy a “bit of a house" for next to nothing. On Thursday night Mary Carr appears in "Broadway Broke,” a picture brimful of emotional appeal, tears and sunshine. On Thursday night the Campbell Boys, who come from the Puller axid Musgrove Circuits, will also be at the Royal. They bring with them a great reputation, having appeared in Auckland alone no less than eight engagements. Thorough musicians, great entertainers. Don’t miss them, they are a treat. "ICEBOUND.” William de Mille has made a gripping true-to-life story in “Iceboutnl," his latest picture. This feature, which will be screened at the 'Town Hall Cabaret to-morrow evening, stars Richard Dix and Loi.- Wilson, of "Covered Wagon” fame. It is the story of two people who are bound by the narrow life of those around them aud try to*break away. The stirring story of their struggle against hypocritical friends aud relations makes a good screen drama. A Broadway comedy, "One Exciting Evening," and the tacest t’anuuount News wilt also be included in the programme. Usual Cabaret prices. Harry Miltarde, who gave the screen "Over the Hill,” and more recently, "If Winter Comes,” will be again represented on the Town Hail screen on Saturday evening next when "The Governor’s Lady," an eight-reel-special will be offered for one night only. This feature is ad opted from a David Belasco stage success, and is played by a select cast of prominent Pox artists.
ODDFELLOWS' CONCERT TONIGHT. The Grand .Concert to be given in the Town Hall to-night, is an effort being made by the Loyal Foxton Lodge of Oddfeilpws for the support of their Sister, Miss Doris Morgan, the Sports Queen candidate. The Lodge has been able to draw on talent from other districts and among the special attractions will be Mrs D. Murphy (nee Vera Robinson, of Foxton) and Miss Jean Robinson. Both these ladies are dancers of exceptional merit, and will add to the attractiveness of the programme. Vocal and instrumental items by new artists should merit a good attendance.
