HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
The secretary of the local Societywill he upstairs in Ross’ Buildings on Thursday to take entries for the show on Friday. The hours will be from 10 to 12 a.m., 2 to 5 and 7 to 8 p.m. Please come early to avoid waiting. The full list to date of those who have sent donations will ho published iu Thursday’s issue. The committee hopes that all those who have good blooms of any description will enter them. Don’t come to th/ show and say you’ve got belter at home. Enter and do the talking afterwards. If you haven’t sweet peas or roses, you may have other blooms or vegetables. If no (lowers at all, one can enter for cookery, fancy-work or decorative work. All cookery must be done at least the day before the show, so that will not prevent anyone from entering in other sections.
Flowers for the decorative sections need not necessarily be grown by the exhibitor for that purpose.
