ENTERTAINMENTS.

ROYAL PICTURES. To-morrow night the star attraction at the Royal Theatre is “The Bargain,” a splendid story of the gold fields, depicting greed, and romance. A story full of thrilling adventure in the South African wilds. The supporting pictures are a very line comedy entitled “Roughest Africa”.and an extra, “The Steel Trail.” Prices will be as usual. On Saturday night “The Wanters,” a play of the luxury-lovers, will be screened. This picture was directed by John M. Stahl, the man who made “The Dangerous Age.’-’ It contains wonderful acting by Marie Prevost and you will not be disappointed if you see the picture. The settings are magnificent. A comedy entitled “The False Alarm” will also be screened, which is a marvellous picture, featuring some clever animals. You will wonder how .they can be trained to do the stunts depicted in this picture. NEW STAR AT TOWN HALL. When it comes to fancy rope twirling, Will Rogers can throw circles around Dick Hatton, who makes a first, appearance at the Town Hall on Saturday in “Four Hearts,” and Tom Mix can undoubtedly rope a steer with a great deal more agility, but Hatton has a stunt in “Four Hearts” which he submits for the practice of both experts. Wjhile sitting on the end of a shaky tree limb, 20 feet from the ground, he threw his lassoo and snapped a man from a rapidly-moving motor ear. This is but one of the many startling incidents in the big picture on Saturday night. Hatton is supported by a first-class*Fox cast. A Sunshine Comedy “Cowboys” and the latest ' Worlds News complete the bill to be screened at usual prices. On Monday evening an oldyoung favourite in the person of Wesley (Freckles) Barry will be seen in “The Country Ivid,” a fine story of life, pathos and humour, set on a farm where a struggling young couple are up against a tough proposition in making ends meet. Freckles as usual infuses any amount of comedy into all the scenes.
