RAILWAY COMMISSION.
TRAVELLING IN THE SOUTH ISLAND. Dunedin, 4th November. Sir Sam Fay .and Sir Vincent Raven, members of the Railway Commission, arrived in Duneidn from Pembroke on Monday evening, accompanied by Mr R. W. MWilly (General Manager of Railways), Mr F. ,T. Jones (Chief Engineer) and Mr H. P. West (District Traffic Manager). The commission has visited South Otago, Invercargill, Centra] Otago, and the branch lines between Milton and Gore. This morning the commission visited the Hillside Workshops and railway yards, and in the afternoon they were interviewed by deputations representing the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce and the Otago Expansion League. To-morrow the commission will travel to Oamaru, going thence io Christchurch, Greymouth, and Nelson, reaching Wellington at the end of next week.
