A vote of sympathy was passed to Miss Beard in her illness.

Accounts totalling Co 7/7 were passed for payment. A vote of thanks was passed to all who had coni rihit led to the sports material fund, and to Mr J. McKnight for the gift of prizes for essay competitions, Messrs Perrean and Parkin were appointed visitors for the month. The headmaster reported that the roll number is 41.8 and the average attendance for last month was (J 0.3 per cent. This low average was due to the epidemic of measles. The aval age attendance last week dropped to oti.4 per cent. The attendance is now improving. .Official visits wore paid to the school last month by Mr Roydhnuse and Miss Blackie. physi< al drill instructors, and Dr: Elizabeth Gunn and .Nurse Wtsje. On Monday, October (Jlh., a successful gathering of parents was held at the school on the occasion of the opening of the Summer sports .season. This has been fully reported in the local paper. A good sum has come to hand, but as there are still some “promises" to collect 1 will submit, a full statement at a future meeting.
