ACCIDENTS.
Mr A. E. Admore. of Foxton, mot with a painful accident while engaged in pain ling operations at Levin yesterday morning. The steps slipped and in the fall he fractured ;i In.tie in the leg near the ankle. He was conveyed to the Palmerston N. Hospital for treatment and will undergo an X-ray examination to* - «lav to ascertain the extent of the injury. The accident will incapacitate him for some .time. Mr Frank Desmond met with a painful accident at the Post Office yard yesterday afternoon. He was assisting with the unloading of telegraph poles from a lorry when a 25 foot crooked pole tilted and struck him on the shoulder and hips and .pinned him to the ground, severely straining the muscles and tendons. His injuries were attended to and In- was conveyed to his home. It is not anticipated that his injuries are serious but he will undergo an Xra.v examinatioifin the course of a day or two. The accident was unavoidable in the circumstances.
