FROZEN MEAT MARKET
Messrs Levin and C'o. Ltd. have received the following- cable from their London agents, dated the 17th October, .1924:
“Frozen meat quotations (prices on a “delivered” basis, i.e. including- storage charges, tolls, etc.) : Down lambs, 28/42's, none; best N. Island, 28/42’s, 12 HI; ordinary N. Island, 28/42’s, 12-id; second quality lambs, 28/42’s, 12|d; best N. Island wether sheep, 48/64’s, Bi|d; do., 64/72’s, 8d; ordinary X. Island wether sheep, 48/64’s, 8.4< 1; N, Island ewes, 48/64’s, Gild; do., <l4/ 72’s, 6d: X'.Z. prime ox heel, 160/ 220’s, 4,1(1. As compared with last week’s quotations, best N.l. wethers 64/72’s, N.L wethers, 48/64’s, N.l. ewes, 48/64’s are }d dearer. Best N.l. wethers, 48/64’s, N.l. ewes, 64/72’s and beef are. Jd dearer. Lamb no change. The market is linn but quiet.”
