The - Government , Meteorologist wires as follows at noon to-day:— The indications are for variable and strong breezes, northerly winds, stfong to gale prevailing, and backing by w r est to south. The weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled. Heavy rain is to be expect • ed. Barometer rising soon. Seas heavy. Tides good.
