FAITH HEALING.
MR HICKSON AT BRADFORD,
London. October 15.
Another Lourdes procession of four hundred sufferers thronged to Frizinghall Church. A pathetic scene was witnessed when a young girl dy - ing of paralysis of the optic nerve, blind, dumb and paralysed, filing out her arms as she passed the altar and uttered thick incoherent cries. Euphemia Bryant was being wheeled home by her sister and suddenly asked that the chair lie stopped. She stepped out and pushed the chair home, though uphill. She had been ill for thirty years, seven of which she had been unable to stand. She says: “Something went click in rnv leg, after Air Hickson touched me, T was filled with faith and am now walking easily.” To-day the Bishop of Bradford offered thanks ai tlie altar for her recovery. A dumb man who was unable to speak suddenly said “thank von.” when handed a. cup of coffee iti a marquee near the Church. His wife sprang up in tremendous excitement and said “That’s the first time lie has spoken for two years.” delightedly danced round the marquee.
