OUR NEW GOVERNOR-GENERAL
PERSONAL LETTER TO PRIME MINISTER. Wellington, Last Night. In the course of a personal letter to the Prime Minister, the new Gov-ernor-General, Sir Charles Ferguson, in expressing the great pleasure which he felt in having been chosen as His Majesty’s representative in New Zealand, concludes: “At least I can promise you that I am keen to be useful arid helpful in every way that is possible, and with real regard and affection for the Dominion and its people.” Tt; is understod Sir Charles Fer■•son hopes to arrive in the Dominion about the middle of December.
