FOXTON BOWLING CLUB.

OFFICIAL OPENING OF GREEN.

The official opening of the Foxton Bowling Club’s green and Croquet Courts will be held on Wednesday, 15th inst. at 2 p.m. It is anticipated there will be a large gathering of local and visiting bowlers, and also as usual, a good number of tlie local public. Foxton Club enjoys a large share of popularity among bonders in the Aranawatu Centre, and each year the opening function has been most enjoyable and well attended. Given fine weather, the opening on Wednesday next should lie even more successful than on previous occasions. The green has been receiving careful attention at the hands of the caretaker and from appearances, should play well this season. The catering arrangements for Wednesday will be the same as hitherto, viz., bowlers and croquet players bring a basket. The Feilding and Palmerston N. Clubs are opening their greens this afternoon, weather permitting.
