“THE DAUGHTER OF THE DAWN ”
“The Daughter of the Dav.n,” liy Reginald Tlodder, is a Maori romance published by Dodder and Stoughton. The scene is laid in the North Western part of the South Island, and partly in the romantic West Coast Sounds. The story is a pure and simple romantic story dealing with Maori lore, wiieheratt, second sight and hypnotism, with a dash of African In In thrown in.
The plot of the story is well constructed, interest, is well sustained to the end, which is by no means of the conventional character. The writer is by no means unskilled in the art of story telling and is thoroughly imbued with Maori legend, song and incantation. “The Daughter of the Dawn” should attain to a, wide circulation, and that with the certainty that it will do no harm to the character or morals of young or old.
