BULB CULTIVATION.

Interesting and instructive addresses on bulb cultivation were delivered by the Rev. Perymau and Mr E. J. Murphy on Wednesday evening in All Saints’ schoolroom before a number of local bulb-grow-ing enthusiasts. The Rev. W. H. Walton, president of the local Horticultural Siciety, presided, and referred to the educational value, of such addresses and discussions, Mr Murphy dealt interestingly with the classification of narcissi and explained the various types. The Rev. Peryman spoke on cultivation, raising of seedlings and hybridisation of daffodils. A general and instructive discussion followed and a number of questions were asked and answered. At the conclusion both speakers were accorded votes, of thanks and appreciation.
