BRAVERY REWARDED.

Feilding, September 30. The Mayor, Mr J. S. Tingey, last night, before a large assemblage, presented the Royal Humane Society's bronze medal awarded, to Ronald T. B. Bade, for an act of bravery on January 22. On that date at Kakariki, Mrs Managh, of Halcoinbe, got into difficulties in the Ifangitikei River in rescuing her little daughter. Miss Ward, o f'Marton, waded out and saved the girl. Mr Bade dived off the railway bridge, 32 feet from the water, fully clothed- except his coal, and rescued Mrs Managh. He applied resuscitation met hods successfully.
