WIRELESS SIGNAL
FROM NORTH POLAR REGION. PICKED UP BY TIMARU AMATEUR, Timaru, Lasl Night. On Sunday, the Timaru wireless amateur, Mr H. B. Curtis, established another record for long-dis-tance reception, in copying the signals of Ihe s.s, Bowdoin (W.N.P.), at present at Etali, North Greenland, with the Dr. MacMillan North Pole Expedition. The signals, although not strong, were quite clear and easily readable. The Bowdoin was working as the headquarters of the American Radio Relay League.
