DARING STORY AT TOWN HALL.
‘•West of the Water Tower,” the leading feature at to-morrow night’s Cabaret, is a daring story of reckless love and the consequences. Guy Plummer played bv Glenn Hunter, is the smartest boy in town and attracted to Bee Chew, daughter of a ricli man. Xiaey have a. secret marriage, but the papers are lost and when Bee comes home from a holiday with a baby the town is scandalised. Guy’s father, a minister, in his zeal, only adds oil to burning waters. However everything end# ad right. Come and see the picture. Comedy : “The Sleep Walker” and latest News. On Thursday night Mr James Sullivan has secured the hall for a presentation of a combined vaudeville and picture programme, headed by “The Hardeens,” wonder workers, magicians, and escapologists, . who will star “The Magic Cave,” an act which they are now presenting for the lirst tune befor N.Z. audiences. Also Dustin Farnum in “The Grail.” LO YAL PICT UHLS. After three years’ absence in Australia, where he has fulfilled continuous engagements covering that period, the ltev. Frank (iorrnau returns to New Zealand on a third visit, and will appear at the Loyal Theatre' to-morrow night. In addition to the Lev. Frank Gorman’s appearance at the theatres during me week days, he occupies the puipu of various churches on Sundays —the results of this mission has added many thousand pounds to deserving charities. Whatever may be the success of the Lev. Frank Gorman in the pulpit, his success on the stage is assured —for he is always well appreciated by all who hear this wonderful artist in his select items of song and story. In addition to the above special attraction the Cniversai farce comedy entitled “Excitement” will be screened, together with a further series of “The Leather Pushers,” and comedy entitled “Keep Healthy.” A really excellent programme.
