ALL BLACKS AGAIN VICTORIOUS.

DEFEAT GLOUCESTERSHIRE BY SIX TO NIL.

The fourth match of the All Blacks’ tour was played at Gloucester on Thursday, when the County side was defeated by six points. Tbe N.Z. score consisted of two tries by Quentin Donald, tbe Wairarapa forward, scoring ten minutes from the opening of the game and again at its very close. Nepia landed a penalty early in the game, but the goal was disallowed, the ball touching an opponent en route.

The weather was atrocious, but, notwithstanding this there were present 20,000 people, who took a lively interest in the play and were most demonstrative.

The N.Z. team was as follows: — full-back: G. Nepia; three-quarters A. 11. Hart, H. W. Brown (centre), F. W. Lucas; five-eighths: N. P. McGregor (2), M. F. Nicholls (1); half: W. G. Dailey; winger: C. G. Porter (captain): back row: L. F. Cnpples, R. F. Stewart; supports: .!. Richardson, C. .1. Brownlie; lock T. IT. Harvey; hookers: AY. R. Irvine, q. McDonald. New Zealand won the toss and Gloucester mulled the All Blacks’ kick-off, enabling them to early take the aggressive and Dailey nearly scored, knocking down the corner flag. The pressure was continued, and Donald scored within ten minutes. Nicholls failed with the kick. N.Z. 3, Gloucester nil.

Dailey again hit the corner flag almost immediately, but. worked into position and missed dropping a goal by inches. Gloucester were penalised fur off-sidy, and Nepia put the ball over the bar. but. there was no score as the bail touched an opponent, The All Black forwards were dominating the game and keeping the ball in Gloucester s 25, but Hart twice dropped passes that might have led to tries. The result was that half-time arrived without any ‘addition to tbe score. Towards the end of the second spell, a beautiful movement on the blind side of tbe scrum gave Lucas a good chance for n fry, but at tbe critical moment the wet bali baffled him and he could not hold the pass. The final stages were tremendously hard, and both teams played themselves to a standstill. Just at. the close, however, the New Zealanders’ persistence was rewarded with anothei try. again scored by Donald, lmt Porter, who took the kick, failed to find the goal. The game then ended AI! Blacks fi, Gloucester nil.
