On returning to the road witness found the cattle gone. His assistant, who was waiting in the car, had witnessed the whole business, however. Fined 10/- with costs 26/-. FAILURE TO REGISTER FIREARMS. J. Durham, for failing to re-re-gisLer a rifle within six days of his change of address, was lined 10/with costs 7/-. BREACH OF LICENSING ACT. M. Griffin, licensee of the Manawatu Hotel, was lined £1 with costs y/- for supplying a Maori with two bottles of beer, contrary to the-Act. CIVIL CASES.
