ORCHESTRAL CONCERT.

THURSDAY’S GREAT MUSICAL EVENT. Thursday s Orchestral Concert promises, something unique in the production of local entertainments, and the public may anticipate with confidence a rare, novel, and enjoyable entertainment. A spectacular group of 00 instrumentalists will he pleasing to see. as well as to hear. This huge orchestra includes 24. violins. 1 cellos, a monster £340 Era rd Harp, doubU pianos, and a host of other instruments under the eonduetorship of Miss Af. Healey. The personnel of the orchestra includes six conductors, a Trinity College Associate, and a clever Australian child trapdrummer. The programme is par excellence. Mr Golder, the organising director, of this event, was at one time a popular member of the famous Phil Walsh Dramatic Company, and his efforts indicate professional organising ability. The lady harpist is the holder of .32 diplomas. An unusual feature of the programme will he brief addresses by two Mayors, the Mayor of Foxton and the Afayor of Shannon. At the conclusion of the concert dancers are in for a good time with music from an orchestra of 50 in-

-irumcnts including the local Silver Band, five pianos, local pianists and the Shannon orchestra. Refreshments for the dancers and large number of jfrrformers are being gratuitously forwarded by local and district residents. The management of supper arrangements lias been left in the capable hands of Alesdames Pearson. Head, Hynes, Pmctor, Heaseman, F,. Huntley, .1. Aitcli'mon and Small.
