Railways, ami Postal —stated that a railwayman who worked a 44-hour week earned a different rate of pay from a postal employee who worked the same number of hours. "Employees in the Publie Works Department, who worked 48 hours, got a different rate again. Tie proposed to see if it would not be possible to even U p the rates, so that those working the same hours would gel the same pay. He had promised the executive of the P. and T. Association that he would deal with their side of the ease as soon as the report of the Railway Wages Inquiry Board was received.
