Lid. have received the following cable from their London agents, dated the '22ml August, 10*24: — “Quotations ex -lore: New Zealand prime Canterbury lamb, 2S i'2's IFNI; North Island lamb, '2B/ 1-2's, Hid; prime ('anti rhury million, sti/04's BAd; North Island million, f)ti/l)4's 8d; ewes, 48/04’s <i.|d; S.'/j. prime ox heel, Hit)/220 s, hinds, none offering; do., fores, none offering.” As compared with last week’s quotations, lamb is ]d per lb. dearer, Canterbury mutton Ad per lb dearer and North Island mutton is j d per lb. dearer. The market for lamb is strong with an upward tendency.
