TTTGTT COMMISSIONER'S REPORT.
The High Commissioner’s cable, dated the 23rd August, reads: — “Hemp, Manila market, firm. '(!’ grade sold a! £49; ‘.V grade at £44 5/-. August October shipments. Market, quieter ai close, with ‘J’ grade quoted at sellers at £44 Aug-ust-October shipments. New Zealand market quiet and little business has been done. High points. August .-October shipments quoted at £4O, fair £38.”
