On Friday night Peter B. Kyuo’s “A Motion to Adjourn” will be seen with “The Eagle’s Talons” as an extra, while on Saturday night Constance Tnlmadge will appear in “Dulcv.” “IE WINTER COMES.” The long-expected and anticipated photoplay “Tf Winter Comes” was screened to a large and delighted audience at the Town Hall last evening. An ideal group of placets portray the characters in the screen version of A. S. M. Hutchinson s widely read novel. The meticulous attention to details, the vividness and genuineness, of each character, and the beauty of the scenes rate this special production far above, the usual run of big specials. Percy Marmonl in the role of Mark Sabre, gives a performance that surpasses any seen on the. silversheet in many wavs. His portrayal of the "puzzlehead” who brought upon himself the wrath of the community because he dared to give shelter to an unwed mother and her child is marvellous acting. A Za.no Grey story on the screen is always welcome so that the news Hi at •‘The Call of the Canyon” is the headliner at to-morrow’s Cabaret should please Foxton picturegoers. The story tells of a. soldier who rel urns a war wreck, but makes a good recovery in Ihe West. His fiance loved luxury, but the call of the Canyon and her love were too great.
The Foxton United Sports Association announce that the Grand Ball will be held in the Town Hall on Thursday, September lltli, 1924. Invitations not necessary.
