BODYGUARD OF FOUR BIG TROOPERS.
RADIO WILL BROADCAST WELCOME TO WORLD. New York, August 24. A telegram from White Plains says four State troopers, whose aggregate weight is 842 pounds, and aggregate height twenty-four feet three inches, will meet the Prince of Wales when the Berengaria docks and form bis body guard during the whole time’ he is in New York. They will restrain uninvited persons endeavouring to force attention upon him. - -Major William Hensley, Commandant at Mitchell Field, will fly in a plane over the Berengaria as she enters the harbour, to welcome the Prince of Wales. Major Hensley’s plane will be equipped with a radio transmitter, the receiver being connected with an amplifier panel at Mitchell Field, which will transmit Major Hensley’s words over a wire to the local station, where they will be broadcasted to the world. Thus the Radio Corporation of America announces that the King and Queen of England may listen in, to the welcome if they so desire.
