DIPHTHERIA.

While numerous cases of diphtheria are reported in other centres, Foxlon has been comparatively free from this dreaded disease this year. The Health authorities issue the following advice: — 1. The child who is a “carrier” is to sleep alone,’ lo use separate towels, dishes, etc., from other mem--I,ers of the family. His dishes should lie washed separately and preferably boiled or well scalded. 2. The following gargle for general use in Ihe household is suggested: —To one teacupful of warm water add half a teaspoonful of common salt, add Coiulv’s fluid until the solution is pale pink. Use three times daily. 3. If the “carrier” or oilier member of the household feels out of sorts, is sick and feverish, or complaius of a sore throat, call in your doctor at once.
