AUSTRALIA’S VAST RESOURCES

NOTED EXPLORER’S OPINION.

Wellington, Last Night. Mr V. Stefanson, the noted explorer is on the Tahiti en route for America, after a stay of several months in Australia. He says he is astonished at the little known of Australia’s vast resources. Its capabilities, he says, are wonderful and the. country offers great possibilities for exploring. He intended, when he came out, to make a tour of New Zealand, but owing to his prolonged stay in Australia, the Dominion tour had to be cancelled. He will probably return next year on a special visit to New Zealand.
