Messrs Levin and Co. Ltd. have received the following cable from their London agents, dated the 15th August, 11)24: “Quotations ex store: New Zealand prime Canterbury lamb, 28/ 42’s, llgd; North Isiaud lamb, 28/ 42’s Hid; prime Canterbury mutton, 56/64’s 8d; North Island mutton, 56/64’s ewes, 48/64’s, fijd; N.Z. prime ox beef, 160/220’s, binds none offering; do., fores, none offering. As compared with last .week’s quotations, mutton is id per lb. dearer and ewes id per lb. dearer; otherwise there is no quotable change in the market, w'hich is firm with a limited trade.”
