CHINESE WIN AT ROTORUA

Rotorua, Last Night. South Auckland and the Chinese soccer teams met this afternoon. The, game was played in a strong wind, and driving cold rain. The attendance was good. Rotorua won the toss and had the advantage of the wind in the first half. Very even play finished with no score. Shortly after resuming l , Kennedy scored for the home team. The Chinese made a determined attack, ending in Lowe scoring. A second goal was kicked by Jap at the whistle and the game ended: China 2, Rotorua 1. The game was controlled by Mr T. G. Wilkes. The bumpy ground militated against sure play. One member of the Chinese team was knocked out in the second half, and a substitute was allowed.
