WEDDING.

SENIOR—SKELLEX,

A quift but pretty wedding took I'lac-o ai St. Man's Church! Fox(on, on M cdnosday morning last, tvlion Joinps Senior, youngest son of Mrs and the late Mr Senior, of Redcliffs, Christchurch, was joined in holy matrimony to Mary (“Dolly”), eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs P. Skellen of Poston. Xuptial Mass was celebrated by the Rev. Father McDermott, and Miss Dela ny presided at lhe organ. The eluireh was tastefully decorated for the occasion.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of cream satin eharmeuse, with pearl and silver trimmings, caught, at side with a brilliant buckle. Her veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms, and she carried a shower bouquet of jonquils, snowdrops, and maiden-hair fern. The bride was attended by her sistor. Pearl, who was attired in a dainty frock of salmon pink crepe dc cliene with rucked satin trimmings, and she wore a pink tulle veil. She also carried a shower bouquet of pink rhodendrons and jonquils. Mr M. B. Bergin, a friend of the bridegroom, carried out the fjnties of best: man. After the ceremony relatives and friends were entertained at the residence of the bride’s parents, in Liddell St., where the usual toasts were honoured and felicitous speeches made.

The bride’s going-away costume was navy serge trimmed with silk braid, and steel buttons. She wore a pretty little fawn hat with long streamers and also a heaver coney fur coat, the gift of the bridegroom. The bride’s gift to the bridegroom was a set of ebony brushes. The bridegroom’s present to the bridesmaid was a sunshine purse. - The wedding cake, with a silver cake dish, was the gift of Mr and Mrs M. E. Pcrreau. Among the present- which were numerous was a piano, the gift of the bride’s parents. The happy couple left by motor for Wellington en route for "Rotorua and and Christchurch.

Mr and Mrs Senior will take,up their residence at Bedeliffs, Christchurch. Mr and Airs P. Skellen desire to tl-aiTk members of St. Mary’s choir and all those who so kindly sent flowers.
