KITTY’S NTGHT OUT.
Kitty, the delight of many men’s hearts is to have a night out ou Tuesday next. All bowlers love to “kiss” kitty, for which they receive a mark of recognition, and remain “alive” when otherwise they might be “dead.” To be near Kitty is the principal aim in these men’s lives. On Tuesday night in the Town Hall, members of (ho Bowling and Croquet Clubs will hold a dance for which function very careful prepara (ion is being made. T( is the intention to offer the public a most enjoyable night’s dancing at a very moderate cost, the arrangements for music and supper being in specially good hands. For the benefit of non-daneers, it is to be arranged that the stage be made cosy and comfortable, and a euchre party provided, for which, very good prizes have been donated. The hall, of course, will he decorated befitting the. occasion, and although the prices of admission are very moderate, the bowlers are de termined that this function shall compare favourably with those of other sports bodies. Admission: double ticket, 5/6; gents, 3/6; ladies. 2/6. HUNTING BTG GAME IN AFRICA. ROYAL PICTURES. Instead of playing, as has beep customary, Richard Bairfhelmess’ sweetheart, Dorothy Gish vamps him as her part in the John S. Robertson production of “The Bright Shawl,” the First National picture presented by Inspiration Pictures, Inc., at the Royal Theatre to-night. You will see Miss Gish and Richard Bartblemess at their best at the Royal fo-night. Comedy: “Handsup.” Extras: “The Social Buccaneer,” and “Eagle’s Talons.” On Monday night “The Steel King” will be screened, featuring Montague Love in the story of a man who was so impressed by an injustice to his father that he made it bis object in life to crush the man who was responsible.
