MOTHERS’ AND BABIES’ AFTERNOON. The ladies’ committee held a “mothers’ and babies’ ’’ afternoon in the Presbyterian schoolroom on Thursday. About 50 guests (not including the babies) were present. Mrs F. Robinson (president) in a brief address extended a welcome to all present. It was the society’s wish, said the.-president. to see the work in Foxton increase and they would like to see all mothers take full advantage of the Nurse’s services. Nurse Ogden was in Foxton every Thursday and would he very pleased to see all the mothers and babies present at her office in Clyde Bt. Mrs Robinson then introduced Nurse Ogden, who gave an address on the care of baby. She stated that shg would he pleased to sec mothers and babies at her office and especially expectant mothers; A vote of thanks was accorded Nurse Ogden for her most interest ing address. .Miss Nancy Chrystall presented the nurse with a beautiful posy of daphne and violets. v Afternoon tea was provided by rite ladies’ committee. I The society is indebted to the local Presbyterians for the free use of the .schoolroom.
