A thirty-pound badger was seen in a garden at Tonbridge. It was mistaken for a bear, and when it was chased into the street, it was shot. Hard biscuits similar to the war biscuits, supplied to modem armies, was an article of: food for the Roman soldiers during the second and third centuries A.D. The number of persons unemployed in Great Britain on April 28 was 1.048,000. This was 2,540 less than on April 21, 1024, and 237,023 less than on December 31, 1023.
