LONDON FROZEN MEAT MARKET.
Messrs Levin and Co. Ltd. have received the following cable from their Loudon agents, dated the 25th July, 1924: — “Quotations ex-store: New Zealand prime Canterbury lamb, 28/ 42's, HAd; North Island lamb, 28/42’s, lid; prime Canterbury mutton, 56/64’s, 7id; North Island mutton, 56/64’s 7d; ewes, 48/04’s sgd; New Zealand prime ox beef, 160/220’s, hinds: none offering; do., fores, none offering.” As compared with last week’s quotations, lamb is id dearer; Canterbury mutton id dearer; North Island mutton and ewes id dearer. The lamb market is strong and active while mutton is firmer owing to speculative buying.
