FOXTON TENNIS CLUB.
AXXLAL BALL. The Town Hall presented a pleasing spectacle on Thursday evening, if being the occasion of the local Tennis Club's annual ball. The hall was delightfully decorated with pale blue and white si reamers, vancoloured balloons and greenery and was a credit to the energetic men’s committee, who worked to obtain the effect.
Shortly after eigin Larkin's orchestra Si 1 lick up and soon the floor was thronged with happy dancers. tin- charming frocks of the ladies tub Lug to the oaiety of the scene. \ i.-iiois were present from Feilding. Palmerston X., Shannon, Levin and .surrounding districts. 1 he supper arrangements were in flic bands of the lady members of the club with Alls Stan Austin at their head and were a credit to all. The slipper room was also decorated with, the club colours. Alessrs C. Bryant and X. Ross capably carried out the duties of M.’sC. During the evening extras were supplied by Mrs Pearson and Air (Ic-orge. The committee desire to thank all who forwarded donations towards the supper, or who assisted in any way to make the affair such a success.
