FOXTON STATE SCHOOL.

During this year the local State school has been subjected to a number of changes on the staff. Lpon Mr Banks’ resignation and departure. Air Davidson, first assistant, teffik charge'and a relieving female teacher was sent by the Board. Aliss Fahey also resigned and her position was filled by a relieving male tea rher. Th the meantime the Board appointed Air F. Mason, first assistant at the Lower lintt Distri.-. High school as bead teacher, but h.will not take up ilis duties until early in September. Now. Mr Davidson .-o ring headmaster, lias been offered and has accepted an important position at Christchurch, bur will remain here until Mr Mason takes up his duties. Miss Baton, in charge of the Beach side-school, also resigned and the Board lias appointed Ah- C. t>. Ohrisfnft'erson. at present in charge of the Xgntuwcra (Waverley) school, to the vacancy and he will take up Ids duties after the term holidnvs. A t present a relieving female teacher is in charge of the idc-sehool.

There are two permanent teachers to be appointed to the local staff. General regret will be felt, at the impending departure of Air Davidson, who has not only proved himself a capable and efficient teacher, but lias discharged bis duties of acting headmaster in a highly efficient manner.
