VERDICT AT INQUEST. Christchurch. July 21. ‘•Suicide by strangling' herself while mentally deranged,’’ was the finding of the coroner, Mr Wyvern Wilson, SAL. at the resumed intpiest to-day on ft ram; Eileen ScholelieUl, the l(i-yoar-<>lcl girl who was found strangled in lietl at tlie residenre of her mother in Oxford Terrace on Friday night. “She was evidently mentally abnormal," remarked Mr Wilson in giving Jiis verdict. “She had ungovernable tits of temper and tit those times she was very violent. She was at a mental hospital where she was under the control of strangers and she improved. On Thursday her mind seemed to he running on the subject of suicide for she put a strap round her neck and threatened to choke herself and on Friday she did so. Obviously she must have done it herself."
