DISCHARGE OF RAILWAY EMPLOYEES.

ALLEGATION BY LABOUR MEMBER. A statement was made in the House last night that despite what -the Minister of Bail ways had said to the contrary, the Bailways Department was discharging men in conshquence oi the introduction of the -lb-hour week. Mr Armstrong who made the allegation, said he had received letters from men who had been discharged last Saturday. Mr Armstrong asserted that the Minister did not know what was going on, and that he was ignored by the Departmental officials, who were doing as they pleased.
