Mr Speaker (to the Prime Minister) : “Did you use those words?” Afr Massey, “If you rule that l am out of order, then, of course, I shall withdraw.” Mr Speaker: “Did you sav that?” Air Massey: “I said I believed the member for Stratford never played a game that was not crooked.” The Speaker: “1 must ask you to withdraw them.” The Prime Minister: “I withdraw.” Then turning to Air Master's: “Play the game now.” AH Masters: “Whether lie (Rev. Howard Eliott) is A bosom friend or i.ol, we know Ibis: that he got right behind the Prime Minister at each election for the purpose of putting him in power, and the Prime Minister utilised bis services to get bmself into power.

Mr V. Potter ( Roskill) : “Work the religious stunt again.” The TTon. W. Xosworthy (to Mr Masters): “Who worked behind yon ?" Mr S. (J. Smith (Taranaki) : “The pro,.-." ( Laughter). Air Afaslers afterwards said that there was an unholy alliance between tin' Reformers and Labour, who were lighting to keep the Liberal party off the Treasury benches. Mr TT. E. Holland: “If yon got on those benches you would have to do who! we told you." (Loud laughter). Mr .Massey: “And they will do it."
