The Council of the Christian Congregations last niirht passed the following resolution: “That inasmuch ns mental hospitals are public institutions. supported mainly by pub lie funds, in the judgment of this council if is highly desirable that in ilie management of such institutions. the public should fie represented. To this end the council suggests that the Government make provision by legislation for the election of local hoards of control, which shall function with regard to mental hospitals as hospital and charitable aid hoards do with legat’d to general hospitals.”
