The jOtaki Primary'School entered a challenge for the Austin Banner. —Left in the hands of the secretary to arrange. The secretary of the Koputaroa

Club protested against the drawing " of the second round of the competitions, which resulted in Koputaroa Thirds having to travel to Foxton three times against Foxton playing in Koputaroa once. The secretary stated that there had been, a mistake in the drawing which would be rectified. INSURANCE. The Shannon Club wi*ote that three of their players were injured in the .Junior match against AwnKou on Saturday. Hui Mai also stated that one of their players had been injured and had been off for four weeks. The secretary stated that the Union was responsible for insurance to the extent of £lO 10/- after the insurance funds as paid in by players were finished. This would bring the sum in hand up to £4O. After this the scheme would have to go by the board as there would be no more funds. Decided that the Union could not see its way clear to arrange a Southern tour owing to its financial position. UNION FINANCES. The following report on the financial position was submitted by Mr J. Rimmer, treasurer.

' Receipts:—Gates £92 17/8, insurance £2B 11/0, affiliation fees £lB 18/-, sundries £lO 7/0, interest donation and protest fee £1 6/11, making a total of £l5B 1/7. The report was adopted, a committee being set up including the treasurer and secretary to go into matters of finance. Accounts totalling £l9 17/8 were passed for payment. JUNIOR TRIAL MATCH. Mr- Hardie moved and Mr F. Robinson seconded, that all games within the Union be postponed in view of the rep. game in Foxton on Saturday, 21st. The secretary moved an amendment to the effect that the North v. South Junior match be played at Otaki on June 21st. Mi' J. J. O’Connor seconded the motion. Speaking to the amendment, the secretary stated that, it was necessary to get this match off so as to enable the selectors to pick a team for the junior rep. game against Manawatu in three weeks’ time.

Mi- Hardie protested against the amendment on the score that it was desirable to encourage junior players to attend senior games. The seretary said that the big difficulty was that if' this game was not played it would upset the whole of the fixtures which had been, arranged. Regarding the question of taking the game as a curtain-raiser to the senior game in Foxton, it was a question if it was worth while incurring the expense of bringing men from all over the Union to Foxton by ear and sending them back by ear after the game.

Air J. J. O’Connor said that he was of the opinion that the public should he considered.. He did not think that a junior game, even if played in Levin would affect the senior rep. game in Foxton, and by playing it the Union would he able to keep faith with, the public who after all were the people who kept football going. The amendment was lost, the original motion being carried. A hearty vote of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting.
