PRESENTATION

On Saturday morning the staff of (lie New Zealand Shipping Co’s local branch made a presentation to their manager, Mr R. Mayer, in honour of his approaching marriage. The presentation was made by Mr J. Wveth, on behalf of the employees who made appreciative reference to Mr Mayer’s popularity and referred to the esteem in which ho was held by all those who had anything lo do with him. He asked him to accept a very line cake stand as a slight token of the esteem in which lie wa- held by his fellow associates at the Shipping office, and wished him every success and happiness for the future. Mr Mayer, on behalf of himself and MLs I. Crowe, thanked the donors for their gift.
