ALL SAINTS’ CHURCH.
The nnnuol meeting of parishioners in connection with the above, v as held on Monday evening in All Saints’ schoolroom. The Vicar, Rev W. 11. Walton, presided over a fair ailendanee. The election of officers resulted a> follows. —
Air A. S. Easton, People’s Churchwarden; Mr G. A. Tyer, Vicar’s Warden: Vestry: Messrs F. Robinson, S. 11. Poole, T. Betty, Dr. T. J. Rowley, C. H. Symons, E. Murphy, T. East, and Air J. Aitken (ARmt-on representative). The report and balance-sheet was read and approved. The vicar in his report spoke of the excellent work of the Ladies’ Guild, during the past year, by their efforts £163 13/- had been raised for Church purposes. During this year heavy expenditure would he entailed and it was hoped that parishioners would endeavour by systematic offerings to relieve the parish of financial anxiety. During the year the parish had lostsome good workers tlirugh removal and sickness. There is room for improvement in attendance; at worship, he pointed out. All should endeavour to realise that the church needs loyal and faithful service from all true Christians. By neglect the Church loses its power for good but the individual loss to those who fail in their responsibility is much greater. Thanks are due to Air Betty for his services for many years as choirmaster and to Air Tliornber, organist. During the past year the choir has lost several of ils members by removals and volunteers are needed to fill the gap. To the Vestry and all who have worked during the past year the vicar tendered his thanks. This year Air A. S. Easton was re-elected for the 41sf year’s term. The loyal devotion of Mr and Airs Easton for so many years is an example and should he an inspiration to all who work for Hie true spirilua) development of the church. Air Tver spoke of the fund which is to be built up from the Bock Beipiesty and a standing committee composed of - the vcinr, Afessrs ft. A. Tver, A. Fraser, and W. E .Barber. This committee hopes to evolve some scheme for an eiulowmenl fund which will benefit Hie parish consid-i-r.'Uilv'in vein's to comb. •"* ; "—'
