MR AT MURE ATTACKS LABOUR PROPOSALS.
Nelson, Last Niglit. Mr H. Atmore, M.P., addressed a crowded meeting in. the Theatre Royal last evening. He devoted con sideruble aUeutiou to New Zealand’s Labour Party, which, he sqid, was actuated very largely by exploded Marxian principles. He also dealt extensively with the economic situation in Europe and New Zealand. Mr Atmore also contended that the recent.demand for the pre-wax' standard o£ living, except in the of lower paid workers was unjust, as it would escape paying a lair share of the cost of the war and put an unfair burden on othCity already shouldering their portioin. A strong indictment against direct action was made. Mr Atmore was accorded a unanimous vote of Hi auks and confidence.
