Here are a few simple rules about colour blending:— Saxe-blue dyed in a light solution of rose-pink will become mauve. Bright yellow dipped in a bright blue makes apple green, more blue will make it jade. Rose-pink dipped in it weakish solution of saxe or bright blue makes mauve. A crrttm frock will 'dye a duller and often a prettier shade of mauve than it white one, if dipped in mauve dye, and a saxe blue dipped in mauve makes a pretty 'and uncommon shade of violet.
Generally speaking, most light colours dvr it deeper shade of the same “colour family” with the greatest success.
