“A FOOL THERM WAS.”
Inspired by Kipling’s poem, “The \ umpire,” Lite leading feature at the Town flail to-night, “A Fooi There Was,” is full of dramatic and true drama. It is the true story of the moth aud the dame in which the man pays. A story of a woman with a face of innocence and the soul of Satan, and a weak man who allows her to drag him from his high station in business, from his wife and children, from his better seif. The story 'is full of startling surprises aud is played by a perfect cast including the following favourite players; Estelle Taylor, Marjorie Daw, Irene Rich, Lewis Stone, Wallace McDonald and Mahion Hamblen. Al. St. John the favourite comedian appears in “Young and Dumb.” Extra; “Man who Dempsey Conquered.” Monday night: “Cause for Divorce” will be shown. A true to life story of the problems and pitfalls that strew the paths of matrimony. Also good supporting programme. Prices as usual.
A euchre party and dance, under the auspices oi St. Mary’s Church, will be held in the Town Hall sup-per-room on Tuesday, May f3th. Good supper and music. Admission 1/b. On Friday evening uext a grand children’s plain and fancy dress ball is to be held ru tbe Moutoa Hall. Daucing for the little ones will be mdugeil in from 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. The iloor ts in excellent condition. Fancy dress for adults is optional. Prices of admission are: Children mi, adults 2/-.
